How to say hello in Chinese
Say 你好 (nǐ hǎo) for a safe, everyday hello. Say 您好 (nín hǎo) when you want to sound more polite. For good morning, use 早上好 (zǎoshang hǎo). With friends, 嗨 (hāi) is a casual hi, and 最近怎么样 (zuìjìn zěnmeyàng) asks how they have been.

Is Mandarin hard to learn?
Mandarin is challenging at first because tones, listening, and characters are new to most English speakers. The grammar is often more manageable than beginners expect. With short, regular practice, you can build useful phrases early, then add characters and conversation step by step.
